Karli Steiner owned the toughest throwing conditions of the weekend and turned a windy game into a statement performance. Steiner set career highs with 7 assists and 516 throwing yards, tying Los Angeles Astra’s single-game assists record while setting new franchise marks in throwing yards and total yards. She also led the entire league in assists, throwing yards, and total yards (608) in Week 5 — the kind of backfield control that dictates everything, maybe fuled with a little extra motivation against her former teammates.

WUL Week 6 Preview

OR @ SEA

Seattle vs Oregon is always a rivalry—but this time, it’s about more than pride. For Seattle, it’s a chance to respond. After dropping their first game of the season against Colorado, Tempest will be looking to reassert control in the Northwest and remind the league who they are.

For Oregon, it’s urgency. Soar have shown major improvement this season, but their path to Championship Weekend is narrow. They need a statement win—and Seattle is the opportunity.

Oregon must slow down one of the league’s most efficient offenses. They’ll need to convert their chances when they get them and they’ll have to do it against a team looking to bounce back.

SD @ BAY (Game of the Week)

This one has been circled since the schedule dropped. Bay Area Falcons vs San Diego Super Bloom is more than just a matchup—it’s a rematch of the 2025 Championship Game. And if that wasn’t enough, Super Bloom already handed Bay Area a loss in Week 1. Now, the stakes are even higher for this week’s Game of the Week.

San Diego enters undefeated, looking every bit like the defending champions. They’ve shown they can absorb pressure and adjust mid-game.

Bay Area, meanwhile, is trending up. After a slower start, the Falcons are beginning to find rhythm—integrating new pieces, building chemistry, and sharpening their offensive identity. This is their opportunity to prove it’s real.

Three storylines, one game: Can Bay Area finally break through against San Diego?

Can they avenge both a championship loss and a Week 1 defeat?

And can anyone stop Super Bloom’s undefeated run?
